No disclaimer needed, but…I have edited/worked with these two authors during my time with MuseItUp Publishing, but not on this book series, only their tween/child books. Totally different genres, but just as much dedication and storytelling.
I’ve been stumped!
What? How? Why? I missed…? Yup, it doesn’t happen often, but they’ve stumped me. I did not see this ending. I should have…having gone back and re-read sections…clues where there. But, I still can’t figure out how I missed.
And, that makes for a good read.
The characters are not always likeable. They’re normal, like you and me. You will root for Jane and others and want to strangle a few others. Might even feel some pity. The characters have history with each other along with glimpses to their off-page story-history, just enough to be interesting and help move the story along. This is a weekend read. Relaxed.
I’m curious what other situations Jane found herself in and where the future delivers her. Weave a Murderous Web is the second of currently three Jane Larson books. Would appear my TBR pile is growing.
Their writing is smooth, clear, easy flowing, and also a very different voice from what I first knew as their middle grade genre editor. Something you expect from authors of different genres, but not something that is always accomplished.
